Full Day – Travel around the beautiful Cape Peninsula and enjoy our spectacular coastline, a visit to Boulders Beach to see the penguins, the Cape Point Nature Reserve, a boat trip to Seal Island and more… You’ll be collected from your hotel / backpackers and your lunch is included. There are many photo opportunities on this trip and no doubt you’ll see baboons, which roam wildly throughout the peninsula. Bicycles are also taken along – so if you’re feeling energetic you can cycle within the reserve. Half Day – Half day tours are a condensed version of what you get up to on a fullday. These are often almost the same price as a full day, so if you have the time, a full day is recommended. Hiking & Biking option is also available.
Explore Cape Town’s highlights on foot, with a tour group or enjoy by hopping on the 2Hr City Tour Hop-On and Off Topless Bus. We have maps available for those who want to explore the city by foot – this option is for the more independent traveller. Half day city tours and the Topless Bus are available. If you want to make a day tour out of this 2hr bus option, then you hop off at the destination that you are interested in and just hop back on when the bus returns on the next round.
Pressed for time?? Visit the Constantia Winelands and Cape Point in a day! You will visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve as well as a short stop at Boulders Beach to visit our local Jackass Penguin Colony. One of the oldest wine farms in Cape Town is Groot Constantia where you will experience a wine tasting and learn how it is made. This option is also available on bicycle. Both include lunch and transport. (Please see our Winelands options at the bottom of this page)
Experience the harsh reality that is for so many South Africans a way of life. The community is welcoming and the children's faces smiling (and always happy to be photographed).
Let’s talk about history, culture, politics, economic issues, current and future of the general life of the township people. The tour starts with a visit to the District Six Museum, looking at issues of forced removals. Visit the families of Langa via Bonteheuwel, Guguletu and visit a pre-school in KTC / Crossroads and stop in at Philani Centre (Women’s Project) in Khayelitsha.
You’ll meet your guide outside Long Street Café which is where your pick-up departs from. You’ll be transported to Hout Bay – Imizamo Yethu Township (or Mandela Park as known by the locals) by taxi and experience an evening of entertainment in the form of traditional African choirs as well as Pantsula shebeen (a “pub”). This tour is designed to be non-intrusive and allows you to interact with the locals of the area. Dinner is served after the entertainment which is a wonderful variety of traditional African food, served buffet style. The funds go directly back into the community.
Full Day – The Western Cape is famous for its award winning vintages. On the winelands tour, you’ll visit four different wine farms and have about 5 tastings at each farm. There is the option to buy wine at all of the farms and you will have a full tour of the cellars and your guide will explain how the wine is made. After visiting the second farm, you’ll be taken to lunch (either at a restaurant in Stellenbosch or at one of the wine farms) – all of this and your transport is included. Half Day – Half day tours are a condensed version of what you get up to on a fullday. These are often almost the same price as a full day, so if you have the time, a full day is recommended.
