Spend a memorable day fishing from a traditional, wooden Snoek Boat.  Snoek is a long bright, silver fish armed with a formidable set of razor sharp teeth, (similar to barracuda).  Trips depart from the oldest traditional handline fishing Harbour in South Africa, situated in the picturesque town of Kalk Bay.  The crew of local fishermen will teach you how to catch these incredible fish using a thick hand line, large hook and half a pilchard.  These skills have been handed down from generation to generation.  During the months of June to September you will often see Southern Right Whales, which come to calf in False Bay during these months.  Upon arrival back at Kalk Bay Harbour you will have lunch at one of the local restaurants where your fish will be prepared in the traditional Cape Malay Style.  Other fishing options include cray-fishing (in Season) and “Beach & Rock Fishing”.
